Ernesto to Speak at 15th Annual MEES Conference

Ernesto Caravantes is scheduled to speak at this year's 15th Annual California MEES Conference in Sacramento, November 17-19, 2009.

"I am honored to speak at this conference and I am
looking forward to presenting information that will create an positive impact on our youth," says Caravantes.

The presentation will focus on the cross-cultural issues, which currently confront Latinos in the American educational system. By using past and current theories of culture by well-known educators, Ernesto will discuss the topics of assimilation, acculturation, parent-community partnerships, and what can be done to reverese the problem of underachievement amongst Hispanics. A period of question and answer will follow.
